Jason and Jordan started their careers as mechanics in 1999. In 2023 they started The Mechanics — two mechanics who got tired of customers being kept in the dark, building the business they'd want to take their own cars to.
They're both still on the tools, which is why the video explaining your car usually comes from the person who fixed it.
One unit became two
We grew because people kept coming back.
The second unit wasn't ambition for its own sake — the diary ran out of room. It let us bring MOT testing in-house, which is the part customers had least visibility of.

Before anything is quoted, the mechanic films or photographs the part in question — on your car, with your reg in shot. - 02
Understand it.
No jargon, no scare tactics. What it is, why it matters, what happens if you leave it, and what it costs. - 03
Decide it.
You choose what happens. Approve all of it, some of it, or none of it — the car goes back together either way. - 04
Drive away happy.
The reason people drive past three other garages to get here is that nothing on the invoice is a surprise.
