Privacy

This explains what we do with the details you give us on this website. In short: we use them to deal with your booking or enquiry, and nothing else.

Who we are

The Mechanics (Glasgow) Ltd (company number SC765909), trading as The Mechanics Glasgow, Units A & H, Meadowside Street, Renfrew PA4 8SR. Contact: mechanics.glasgow@gmail.com or 0141 648 5500.

What we collect

When you book an MOT or send an enquiry: your name, mobile number, optional email address, vehicle registration and details, your preferred way to be contacted, the slot you chose and anything you write in the notes. We also record how you reached the site (for example, which advert or search), so we know which of our marketing works.

How we use it

To hold your slot, contact you to confirm it, carry out the work and keep a record of it. We don't sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.

Who processes it for us

Booking details are stored in our Google Workspace calendar and email (Google), and on the services that run this website (Vercel for hosting, Upstash for booking storage). They only process it on our behalf.

Cookies

The site works without cookies. If we turn on analytics or advertising measurement, we'll ask first, and nothing is set unless you agree. You can change your choice any time from the footer.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you by emailing mechanics.glasgow@gmail.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
